A first alignment film (15) includes a plurality of first regions (21) and second regions (22). A second alignment film (16) includes a plurality of third regions (31) and fourth regions (32). The third region (31) corresponds to the first region (21) and the fourth region (32) corresponds to the second region (22). Alignment directions of the first region (21), the second region (22), the third region (31), and the fourth region (32) are different. By applying a voltage, a transmittance ratio of the first region (21) and the second region (22) is above 5 in an angle range above 30°, and below 40° from a normal direction, and a transmittance of the first alignment film (15) from the normal direction is above 90% of the transmittance in case of non-applying the voltage, if the retardation ”n·d of the TN LC layer is within the range from 1.5¼m to 3.0¼m. |
