PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing method and a fixing device whereby, regardless of the type of a recording medium to be subject to fixing, the recording medium is prevented from being wrapped around a fixing roll. SOLUTION: In the fixing method, when an image formed on a recording medium by the use of color material particles containing at least a color material and a resin is fixed onto the recording medium, a pair of fixing rolls at least one of which is a heat roll are used, at least the recording medium or a sticking member for sticking the recording medium is electrified so that the recording medium and the sticking member are electrostatically attracted, then, the recording medium with the image formed thereon is conveyed by the pair of fixing rolls together with the sticking member while they are sandwiched between the fixing rolls, and thus the image is fixed to the surface of the recording medium.
