PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and high-output stepping motor having a short axial length, at a low cost. SOLUTION: The stepping motor integrally has a stator 1, made of soft magnetic material having first outer magnetic pole 1a and a second outer magnetic pole 1b, a bobbin body 4 having a first bobbin 4a fitted over the first outer magnetic pole 1a and second bobbin 4b fitted over the second outer magnetic pole 1b, a first coil 2 wound around the first bobbin 4a, a second coil 3 wound around the second bobbin 4b, and a rotor 8 made of soft magnetic material having a magnet 7 secured around a first columnar portion 8a by shrinkage fitting. The rotor 8 is supported rotatably at its hole 8e by the first shaft 11a of a cover 11. An urging member 9 of nonmagnetic material is fitted rotatably in the hole 8e of the rotor 8, and a compression coil spring 10 for urging the rotor 8 in the axial direction of motor together with the urging member 9 is arranged in the hole 8e.
