PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food material having a high antiobestic effect or blood cholesterol level elevation inhibiting activity, and to provide a food and drink containing the food material.

SOLUTION: This invention comprises the antiobestic agent comprising a component contained in cassis fruits as an active component. The invention comprises the food and drink comprising the component contained in the cassis fruits and having antiobestic activity and indicating that the component is used for suppressing or prophylaxis of obesity. The invention comprises a blood cholesterol level elevation inhibitor using the component contained in the cassis fruits as the active component. The invention compres the food and drink containing the component contained in the cassis fruits and having suppressing effect on the total blood cholesterol level and indicating that the content is used for suppressing the total cholesterol level.
