A method for introducing gas into water, e.g. carbon dioxide into an aquarium has an inverted dome fitted onto a central shaft (20) and held under the water level. Gas is introduced into the space inside the dome to be adsorbed into the water. The dome has a sliding fit on the shaft, with the bottom of the shaft secured to an anchorage block (22), and can be made of clear plastic providing a simple indication of when the dome requires cleaning, e.g. removal of algae. The sliding seal is kept moist simply by pushing the cover under the water level.
|
