PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image element and a manufacturing method of the same capable of improving light transmittance. SOLUTION: The image element includes a substrate 100 on which a light receiving element is formed, an interlayer dielectric structure A that is formed on the substrate and has a cavity in the upper section of the light receiving element, a transparent dielectric film in which a portion that is formed by being embedded in the cavity and is protruded from the upper section of the interlayer dielectric structure A and formed in a lens type, and a color filter 500 formed on the upper section of the transparent dielectric film. Here, the upper section of the transparent dielectric film can be formed of a convex lens. The upper section of the transparent dielectric film may be also formed of a concave lens. The manufacturing method of the image element is also provided. This allows the light transmittance of the image element having a wiring pattern manufactured in Copper Damascene Process to be improved and the system to prevent the dispersion and irregular reflection of the light incident on the light receiving element, thereby enables the improvement of the light transmittance and the simplification of the manufacturing process.
