PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating for spot welding, hardly burning on rapid succession of the spot welding and having a good working property. SOLUTION: This coating for the spot welding consists mainly of an emulsion containing 35-45 wt.% water and 3-8 wt.% thickening agent. Therefore, it is possible to secure electroconductivity on performing the spot welding by containing water. Since it does not contain iron powder, rust is not formed even on storing for a long period, and it is possible to improve its handling property by enabling it as being filled in a tube type container or a cartridge tube since it consists mainly of the emulsion and contains the thickening agent.
