<p>The invention relates to the use of a dialkylketone peroxide as biocidal, sterilizing, antiseptic, disinfecting and anti-parasitic agent, which has no toxicity or ecotoxicity and has a broad spectrum of effectiveness in terms of the type of organisms it is effective against (bacteria, virus, fungi, spores, mycobacteria, protozoa, algae, prions, arachnids, mites, insects, etc.) and the type of applications in which it is used (human and animal therapy, hygiene, packing, medical and industrial equipment and sanitary environments, premises, surfaces in general, industrial facilities, refrigerating towers, sanitary hot water circuits, purification of water for human and animal consumption, etc.). The invention also relates to the use of a composition comprising said dialkylketone peroxide.
