PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce synthetic engine sounds having a fluctuation characteristic similar to the actual engine sounds. SOLUTION: A synthetic engine sound data producing part 24 is equipped with a first 31 and a second reproduction part 32, a reproduction control part 33 to control them, and a superposing part 34 to superpose the synthetic engine sound data produced by the two reproduction parts 31 and 32. The first 31 and second reproduction parts 32 are equipped with synthetic processing parts Z1 and Z2 to produce the synthetic sound data on the basis of the throttle opening data A and the engine speed data B and fluctuation processing parts X1 and X2 to give fluctuation (variation) according to the combustion pressure data D to the synthetic sound data produced by the parts Z1 and Z2.
