PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the power consumption by a driving motor of a three-way switch valve, even when a refrigerant pressure of a refrigeration cycle of a refrigerator is high, and the three-way switch valve of high driving capacity is applied to switch the flow of a refrigerant in response to high refrigerant pressure. SOLUTION: This refrigerator 1 comprises the refrigeration cycle for allowing the refrigerant from a compressor 11 to flow to the three-way switch valve 16 through a radiator 13, and to be switched to a first flow channel 17 to a first evaporator 6 for cooling a first storage chamber 3a or a second flow channel 18 to a second evaporator 7 for cooling a second storage chamber 3d, and then returned to the compressor again, a stepping motor 16a for driving the three-way valve, and a controller 51 for controlling the stepping motor. The controller controls pulse width of driving pulses input to the stepping motor to narrow the pulse width when the refrigerant pressure on a high-pressure side of the refrigeration cycle is low.
