<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image processing technique for segmenting the partially projected area of a binary image so as to have a curved shape. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor including a segmenting means for segmenting the partial area which is a part of the binary image, from the binary image obtained by subjecting a tomographic image to threshold processing is provided with: a dot string setting means for successively moving a first dot string which includes at least one pixel dot on the contour line of the binary image, and a second dot string which is separated from the first dot string by the prescribed number of pixels and includes at least two pixel points, along the contour line; a curve calculating means for calculating a curve which connects the first and second dot string; and a means for allowing the segmenting means to segment a plurality of partial areas which are surrounded by the curve calculated by the curve calculating means and the contour line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
