<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium equipped with a substrate protective film so as to effectively suppress deformation (warpage) associated with an environmental moisture change. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium is equipped with a transparent substrate, a thin film layer formed on one surface of the transparent substrate, a thin film protective film formed on the thin film layer, and a substrate protective film formed on the other surface of the transparent substrate to be thinner than the film thickness of the thin film protective film. The thin film layer is a monolayer or a multilayer film consisting of at least one layer of dielectric films, a recording film and a reflective film. The humidity expansion coefficient of the substrate protective film is larger than that of the thin film protective film. The bending moment that the thin film protective film imparts to the transparent substrate balances with the bending moment that the substrate protective film imparts to the transparent substrate during moisture change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
