PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint input image judgment processing device for judging whether or not inputted fingerprint image data are desired brightness and darkness-related image data regardless of the factor, and for converting the inputted fingerprint image data into the desired brightness and darkness-related image data based on the judgment result. SOLUTION: The fingerprint input image judgment processing device 20 is provided with an input image judging part 21 and a brightness inversion processing part 22. The input image judging part 21 first generates binarized judgment image data based on the inputted fingerprint image data. Then, the input image judging part 21 detects an isolated region in the generated judgment image data, and counts the number of configuring elements in the isolated region constituted of a predetermined color. Then, the counted number of pixels is verified by using predetermined conditions, and the brightness and darkness relation of the inputted image data is judged. The brightness inversion processing part 22 inverts the brightness and darkness relation of the inputted fingerprint image data when the brightness and darkness relation of the input image is different from desired one.
