PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery housing battery elements in an airtight state in a battery can enabling equipping with a safety valve function capable of surely operating at a given operating pressure, without the need for a large space between a gasket and a sealing plate and without damaging the strength of the sealing plate, with improved liquid leakage resistant properties. SOLUTION: In the battery-sealing body 30 formed by integrating the sealing plate 33, the gasket 35 and a collector 31, the sealing plate 33 forms at least one ventilation hole 34. The gasket 35 is formed into nearly laminated shape, closely adhering to the sealing plate 33 and the collector 31, and at the same time, forms a thin part 39 at a position corresponding to the ventilation hole 34.
