PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private branch exchange, a private branch exchange system and a telephone book data distributing method capable of automatically providing a telephone device with the latest telephone book data without stopping working of an operational telephone device. SOLUTION: This PBX (private branch exchange) 5 for housing and connecting a plurality of Kanji (Chinese character) telephone devices 2B comprises a telephone book storing part 44 for storing telephone book data, a communication monitoring part 33 for monitoring usage states of the Kanji telephone devices, a usage state determining part 34A for determining whether the telephone device are not now used for each Kanji telephone device based on monitoring results, and a control part 34 for distributing stored telephone book data to an unused Kanji telephone device through a data distributing part 31B when the usage state of the Kanji telephone device is determined to be unused.
