PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element maintaining the shape of an interface even when receiving influence of gravity; and to provide a lens unit and an imaging device photographed by capturing object light incident through a photographing optical system incorporated with the optical element, concerning the optical element storing insulation liquid and conductive liquid which have mutually different refractive indexes and are mutually immiscible and have optical transparency respectively in the inside, the lens unit and the imaging device photographed by capturing the object light incident through the photographing optical system incorporated with the optical element. SOLUTION: The insulation liquid mainly comprising one or more compounds is applied from among compounds in which a difference with specific gravity of water is 0.1 or lower.
