<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent loss of copyright information, even if image data are converted. <P>SOLUTION: Image data and copyright information included in an image file are separated (step 31). The separated copyright information is so converted that it can be recognized by a mobile phone that is a transmission destination of the image file (step 32). Furthermore, the image data has the data volume adjusted and has the format converted so that the image data can be displayed on the mobile phone that is the transmission destination (step 33). The converted copyright information and image data are stored in the image file (step 34) and are transmitted to the mobile phone.
