<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery with small variation from the initial battery characteristic due to passage of time when storing the battery for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: Non-water electrolyte contains carboxylic acid anhydrous organic compound indicated by a formula (1) or a formula (2) (shown in Figure 1) and the compound is used in a lithium secondary battery. The carboxylic acid anhydrous organic compound is expressed by the formulas (1) and (2), R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>in the formula (1) are organic radicals with different carbon numbers from 1 to 20, R<SB>n</SB>and R<SB>m</SB>in the formula (2) are organic radicals with different carbon numbers from 1 to 5, and R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>n</SB>and R<SB>m</SB>contain at least one of hydrogen, sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen, fluoride, chlorine, bromine or iodine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
