PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device wherein emission efficiency, emission luminance and endurance are excellent, and especially the emission efficiency, the emission luminance, and the endurance of a blue color are improved to such an extent as equivalent to other colors. SOLUTION: A repetitive unit expressed by formula (1) is linked to an electroluminescent layer having the structure of a single layer or two or more layers, in 2 to 20 in the shape of a straight-chain, an annulus or a mesh, directly or through an -O- group. When the repetitive unit in formula (1) is linked in the shape of the straight-chain, an organic silicon compound is included in the both ends, wherein the compound includes a structure combined with an aryl group which may have a substituent. In the formula, R<SP>1</SP>shows the aryl group which may have the substituent, R<SP>2</SP>shows the aryl group or the -O- group which may have the substituent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
