PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amino-substituted tetraphenylthiophene compound, and to provide an organic electroluminescent device containing the compound. SOLUTION: The amino-substituted tetraphenylthiophene compound is represented by general formula (1) [wherein, Z1to Z4are each a substituent; n1and n2are each an integer of 0-5; n3and n4are each an integer of 0-4; Ar1to Ar4are each a (substituted) aromatic hydrocarbon group or (substituted) aromatic heterocyclic group, wherein at least one of Ar1to Ar4is an aromatic hydrocarbon group substituted with (substituted) amino group(s) or an aromatic heterocyclic group substituted with (substituted) amino group(s)].
