PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new naphthalene derivative that exhibits excellent low dielectric property and is useful as an electronic part and a new polynaphthylene resin composition obtained from the same. SOLUTION: The polynaphthylene resin composition has repeating units represented by general formula (1) and general formula (2) (R1and R1' are each a halogen atom or a 1-8C hydrocarbon group bonded to a naphthalene ring and when a plurality of R1s or R1's exist, R1s or R1's may be the same or different; R2and R2' are each a halogen atom or a 1-8C hydrocarbon group bonded to a benzene ring and when a plurality of R2s or R2's exist, R2s and R2's may be the same or different; x1and x1' are each independently an integer of 0-6; y2and y2' are each independently an integer of 0-3).
