The apparatus displays a GUI screen including: an image display section 22 , a time-position information display section 23 for displaying time-position information on a video material, a preview operation unit 26 for previewing the video material, scene setting operation units 24 and 25 for setting a certain range of the video material as a scene; wherein based on the setting of a scene by the scene setting operation units 24 and 25 with respect to the material displayed in the image display section 22 , ranges of scenes 36 and 37 are displayed discriminatively in the time-position information display section 23 , an input section for the input of a comment on the scene that is set in the scene setting operation units 24 and 25 is displayed, and the comment input into this input section is stored.
