<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card transaction device which reduces damage caused by the illegal use of a card without affecting conveniences to users. <P>SOLUTION: An authenticating action is made when a money deposit machine for cards 21 is turned on, and a security state is generated if the authentication is failed. When an accumulated amount of money which an IC card receives reaches a transaction limitation amount after the generation of the security state, the authentication of the money deposit machine for cards 21 is detected again. When the second authentication is also failed, writing money amount information to the IC card is refused. If the first or second authentication is successful, a normal state is generated. Accordingly, the illegal use of the money deposit machine for cards 21 for over a preliminarily fixed limited amount of money is prevented and the operability of the money deposit machine for cards 21 is not damaged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
