ANTITUMOR LIPOSOME FORMULATION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe antitumor liposome formulation stabilizing the structure of the liposome and affording retention stability of an anticancerous compound and achieving efficient delivery of an anticancer agent.

SOLUTION: The antitumor liposome formulation comprises a liposome having 0.05-0.7 μm average particle diameter and containing at least one or more kinds of drugs in a phospholipid membrane or an inner aqueous phase thereof without substantially containing an organic solvent. The liposome is prepared by mixing a lipid membrane component composing a phospholipid membrane with carbon dioxide in the supercritical or the subcritical state under conditions in which at least one kind of compound having a hydroxy group, as necessary, may be present.
