MEASURING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ON-LINE STRIP FLATNESS

The on-line strip flatness measuring an apparatus and method is composed of (a) positioning laser displacement sensors(21A)(21B) which are movable to the width direction at predetermined height of upper and lower surfaces of a strip(S) traveling, to a suitable position to measure up and down displacements(H), transmitting to a controlling part(60); (b) the controlling part(60) being provided with a traveling distance and width information of the strip(S) from a pulse generator(41) which is installed at one side of a table roller(42) rotating in contact with the strip(S), and CCD camera(52) which receives a light from a light source(51) installed in a lower part of the strip(S), then the controlling part(60) operating them with a strip(S) displacements(H) from the laser displacement sensors(21A)(21B) to measure the up and down displacement quantities of the strip to the longitudinal direction.
