PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus including a structure of an imaging manipulation unit which is free from erroneous manipulation of a power supply button and may be formed thinner. SOLUTION: A POWER button 37 arranged near the rear surface 20-2 and side surface 20-4 and a shutter button 36 arranged near the front surface 20-1 are gathered on a base 48. Simultaneously, these buttons 36, 37 are arranged at the slope formed to the regions divided respectively with the almost S-shaped top region 49a in the manner that the upper surfaces of these buttons 36, 37 are not projected to a large extent from the slope. Therefore, when a user forms the pose to take a picture with a digital still camera 20, the first joint of the index finger to push the shutter button 36 is placed to bridge over the POWER button 37 with the second joint. Consequently, a finger tip is guided naturally to the shutter button 36 owing to the slope and erroneous operation of the contact does not occur easily by making large the pressing stroke of the POWER button 37.
