The invention relates to a plastic base destined for the construction of a cylindrical brush made of the plastic section 1 bearing on both sides six teeth 2 forming correspondingly six slots 3 for external diameters surpassing the 65 mm and of twelve teeth formed equally on both sides to form twelve slots 8 for external diameters inferior to the 65 mm. The plastic base has on its inner side two ridges 4 for the emplacement of plastic rings 5,6 serving for the adjustment of the internal diameter. The length of the plastic rings covers half the length of the tooth and half the length of the notch. The advantage of the invention is that the plastic base can be easily, quickly and steadily assembled with no use of additional accessories so that a cylindrical brush of great length is formed with easily adjustable internal diameter.
