PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acid-free paper tube for data storage capable of storing valuable materials such as an old map, a dyed and woven item, a scroll and a roll under stable conditions for a long time while preventing their discoloration or deterioration. SOLUTION: Acid-free paper (11) wherein a cold water extraction pH value is in a range of 6.5-10.0, a content of completely inorganic anions per a dried mass of 1 kg is 300 mg or less, and a content of sulfate ions in the completely inorganic anion content is 70 mg or less is formed into a tubular shape.
