<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage alloy electrode for an alkaline storage battery having a long life and a high output, a manufacturing method of the electrode, and the alkaline storage battery using the electrode. <P>SOLUTION: As for the hydrogen storage alloy electrode 26 for the alkaline storage battery, an alloy layer 38 supported by a conductive substrate 36 is formed by applying a coating process to alloy slurry containing hydrogen storage alloy particles, a binder of non-water solubility, and water. The alloy slurry is prepared by adding water to the hydrogen storage alloy particles and forming a preliminary kneaded object by kneading these primarily, and then by adding the binder to the preliminary kneaded object, and kneading these secondarily.
