<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which has the brightness and contrast made adjustable in accordance with different places and uses and is free from a halo phenomenon in edges of an image. <P>SOLUTION: The projector includes: a light source; a light source lens set for guiding a light beam emitted from the light source, to a micromirror device; the micromirror device for generating an optical signal on the basis of the light beam emitted from the light source; an image forming lens set for projecting the optical signal generated from the micromirror device, to the outside and projecting an image on a screen provided on the outside; and an aperture-controllable diaphragm provided on a path of the light beam. The aperture-controllable diaphragm defines an aperture where the light beam passes, in a center position and includes at least one movable blade for altering dimensions of the aperture so as to adjust the brightness and contrast of the image projected by the projector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
