PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver in which "slow reproduction" of video/audio stream data including voice can be actually realized, and to provide an information reproducing method therefor. SOLUTION: In the broadcast receiver comprising tuner sections (161, 120) for receiving a broadcast program, a large capacity recording medium, i.e. an HDD 300, for recording signals from the tuner section while converting into a predetermined format, and a display section 200 for displaying video and audio signals from the tuner section or the HDD, the HDD reproduces the video/audio signal of a received broadcast program at a rate lower than the normal rate and falling within a preset allowable setting range (0.75-0.85 times) causing no trouble in reproduction of voice.
