An image forming apparatus is provided to prevent electric communication defect between a developing cartridge and a main frame and to preclude power supply failure by using pressing members, and to set widths of first and second power transfer parts to transfer power smoothly. An image forming apparatus comprises a main frame(30), a developing cartridge(40), and pressing members(50). The main frame has a first power transfer part(33) and first electrodes supplying power. The developing cartridge includes a second power transfer part(43) engaged with the first power transfer part, and second electrodes(45) communicated with the first electrodes electrically. The pressing members, which are placed in the main frame, restrict the width direction of the developing cartridge and guide the engagement between the first and second electrodes and the electric communication between the first and second electrodes. The pressing members include elastic plates(150) to press the developing cartridge elastically in a direction to which the first and second electrodes are communicated.
