PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital position detector for securing linearity of position change and digital output and without receiving influence of power source voltage fluctuation by digital output by changing inductance of a coil corresponding to position change of a magnetic body, further changing oscillation frequency due to inductance change, and squaring the digital signal to obtain digital output. SOLUTION: The digital position detector comprises an oscillation circuit including the coil 1 changed from a relative position between the coil 1 and the magnetic body 2 by the inductance of the coil 1; a digital signal circuit for generating a digital signal in proportion to an oscillation cycle; and a squaring circuit for squaring the digital signal to generate the digital output.
