<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus that costs less and is excellent in the stability of color reproducibility by correcting a sensor output, taking into account of the factors of the various output changes of a concentration sensor, such as displacement of the sensor, variations in amount of sensor light, nonuniform surface, and disturbance in a development system. <P>SOLUTION: An image density control means includes a means for detecting color toner concentration by detecting the diffusion reflection light of each color toner with, as a reference, the diffusion reflection light of a black solid pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
