COMPRESSOR WITH FOREIGN MATTER REMOVAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter removal device capable of removing foreign matter such as metal pieces mixed in a refrigerant without selecting catching sizes and preventing clogging from occurring.

SOLUTION: A cylindrical space 47 formed comprises an inflow hole 51 formed above the intake passage of a compressor and allowing the refrigerant to flow therein. The inflow hole 51 is tangentially connected to the space 47 to cause a swirl flow in the flowing in refrigerant in the space 47. Also, a catching member 52 for catching separated foreign matter is disposed at the bottom of the space 47, and a projected outflow hole 57 is formed at the bottom center of the space 47.
