The coupling for the boom cap (1) of a crane on the mast (2) has fish-plates (11) fixed to its four corners and extend in the diagonal panes. A receiving socket formed of two plates (18,19) are attached to the top of the mast (2). The plates have holes which correspond when assembled to allow passage of fixing bolts.
