PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact type surface thermometer and a contact type surface temperature measurement device which ensure high-precision temperature measurement and the durability of a thermocouple while making the most use of a cantilever temperature measurement sensor which ensures high responsiveness in temperature measurement. SOLUTION: The contact type surface thermometer comprises a leaf spring 2 having the thermocouple. The thermocouple 1 is welded into the surface of the leaf spring 2 in an embedding manner. The surface of the leaf spring 2 and the surface of a welded part 4 are so configured that they are nearly flush with each other. The part in which the thermocouple 1 is welded and embedded is thereby integrated with the surface of the leaf spring 2 without being apart therefrom to ensure strength, allowing a temperature measurement sensor section of the leaf spring 2 as a cantilever contact surface thermometer to adapt to high-speed distance fluctuations of a surface to be measured 3 with high responsiveness without losing close contactness.
