PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can use a recording resolution contributory to realize a high quality recording without incurring a high cost of a conveyance mechanism and significantly lowering a recording rate, and a recording method. SOLUTION: This inkjet recording device is equipped with a recording head 23P with a nozzle array consisting of a plurality of disposed nozzles and a conveyance mechanism 26 capable of conveying a recording medium by a factor of optional natural number of a unit conveyance amount in a parallel direction with the nozzle array. The recording medium is conveyed by either of a pseudologic conveyance amount including a natural number P2 which is decided based on the recording resolution (d) and the number of nozzles M and larger than a logic conveyance amount P mentioned as a multiple of the unit conveyance amount and a smaller natural number P1. Recording data are recorded in the recording medium each time the recording medium is conveyed. The conveyance amount R of the recording medium is decided as either of the P1 or the P2 so as not to allow the difference between the logic conveyance amount P and the actual conveyance amount R of the recording medium.
