METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR MONITORING THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE SPINAL CORD

A method for monitoring the functionality of the spinal cord of a living creature comprises the steps of: a) acquiring an electric signal (S1) obtained in response to an electric stimulation applied to the creature's body; this signal comprises a first signal (S) indicative of a somatosensory evoked potential generated by said pulse; b) acquiring a second electric signal (S2) indicative of a H-reflex potential generated by said electric stimulation; c) processing the first and second electric signals to simultaneously provide first and second information, which are correlated to the first and second electric signals thus enabling to check the functionality of the spinal cord.
