The invention relates to a system for detecting an automotive tire pressure loss during travel by means of an appliance for detecting the wheel speed of every wheel. According to the method, a variable which is proportional to the dynamic roll-off circumference is determined for every single at a constant vehicle speed wheel based on the wheel speed of the respective individual wheel measured for a defined actual distance covered, and said variable is compared with a stored reference value.
