<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display to which antiglare properties are imparted without heightening a haze value and which has satisfactory visual field angle characteristics in successful vertical alignment mode and to provide an antiglare polarizing film lamination body useful for the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display, linear polarizers 20 and 21 are disposed on both surfaces of a vertical alignment mode liquid crystal cell 10, a first retardation plate 26 having a refractive index structure of n<SB>x</SB>>n<SB>y</SB>≥n<SB>z</SB>is disposed between one cell substrate and the linear polarizer so that its delay axis is parallel or orthogonal to the transmission axis of the adjacent linear polarizer, a second retardation plate 27 having a refractive index structure of n<SB>x</SB>≈n<SB>y</SB>>n<SB>z</SB>is disposed between the first retardation plate 26 and the cell substrate or between the other cell substrate and the linear polarizer and an antiglare layer 30 which has an antiglare surface having fine multi-spherical surface shapes and wherein domains each having 0.1 to 10 μm height and 25 to 2,500 μm<SP>2</SP>area occupy ≥90% respective spherical surface domains when observed from an upper part and flat parts occupy ≤10% respective spherical surface domains is disposed on the surface of the display surface side polarizer 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
