PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical write device in which the faces to be scanned of a plurality of image carriers are irradiated with a plurality of light beams deflected to perform scanning and divided into two symmetrical directions with one optical deflector via optical systems, and flair light which may be generated in optical systems which are facing to each other interposing the optical deflector is prevented from entering the opposite optical system, thus the flair light is prevented from radiating the faces to be scanned of the image carriers, and such failure as noise is not generated. SOLUTION: In the optical write device which is provided with a plurality of light sources, a light deflector which deflects light beams from the plurality of light sources by dividing into opposite two directions, and optical systems symmetrically arranged into the two directions interposing the optical deflector acting as a center to focus the plurality of light beams deflected and scanned with the optical deflector onto the respectively corresponding faces to be scanned, the light sources, the light deflector and the optical systems are housed in a housing, and the main scanning planes of the light beams which are divided into two opposite directions do not intersect with each other.
