PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roofing method of roofing capable of establishing the roofing method of roofing in a connection part between the existing roofing regarded as important by a waterproof surface with the extension of a roof surface and new roofing, at the same time, shortening an extension work period of time of a roof by the roofing method like this and reducing a construction cost. SOLUTION: When the new roof surface 4 is extended on the same plane in the longitudinal direction as that of the existing roof surface 1, a partial roofing area of the roof surface 1 is so selected that an area to the edge of eaves from a ridge of the existing roofing 3 applied to a corner ridge line 11 can be at least included. The existing roofing 3 in the area are removed by leaving the existing roofing sheet 2 as it is, and after the waterproof treatment of an exposed nail hole 81 has been performed by laying out roofing sheet strips 6, a new roofing sheet 61 is laid out, and new roofing 5 is laid so that a way to lap it over the remaining roofing 3 can be continued.
