PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comb-plate monitoring device of a passenger conveyor capable of eliminating the needs of visiting by personnel such as expert engineers or always monitoring by administrators. SOLUTION: This device installed on an inside plate 5 near the entrance 1 of a passenger conveyor or a handrail guide 6 comprises a camera 7 monitoring and photographing the state of the comb-plate 3 of the passenger conveyor and a control/calculation device 9 storing the image of the comb-plate in a normal state beforehand, calculating a relative error by comparing the image of the comb-plate photographed by the camera with the image of the comb-plate in a normal state, and calculating and determining the state of the comb-plate by using the relative error.
