PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire supply device optimum for supplying an electric wire of a minimum diameter, in particular, by stably applying low tension to the electric wire. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a bobbin support disc 51 for detachably mounting a bobbin. A dancer plate 26 is oscillatably provided adjacently to the bobbin support disc 51. The dancer plate 26 is provided with a guide roll 31 directed in a direction parallel with a bobbin shaft 50 on an opposite side by holding a brake shoe 35 joined to the bobbin support disc 51 and a pivotal shaft part 27. The dancer plate 26 is energized by a coil spring 24 in a direction in which the brake shoe 35 presses the bobbin support disc 51. The electric wire wound on the bobbin is laid on the guide roll 31 and is supplied to a stranding wire machine. When excessive tension is applied to the electric wire, the dancer plate 26 is rotated against energizing force, and braking force of the brake shoe 35 is weakened to suppress tension.
