PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain aπ-electron conjugated organic silane compound producible by a simple production method, easily crystallizable to form an organic thin film adsorbed firmly to a substrate surface to prevent physical peeling of the film, and having high orderiness, crystallinity and electrical conductivity, and provide a method for the synthesis of the compound. SOLUTION: Theπ-electron conjugated organic silane compound is expressed by R<SP>1</SP>-SiX<SP>1</SP>X<SP>2</SP>X<SP>3</SP>(R<SP>1</SP>is an organic group containing a monocyclic heterocyclic unit having an atom formingσ<SP>*</SP>-π<SP>*</SP>conjugation system; and X<SP>1</SP>to X<SP>3</SP>are each a group giving a hydroxyl group by hydrolysis). The method for the synthesis of theπ-electron conjugated organic silane compound comprises the reaction of a compound expressed by R<SP>1</SP>-Li (R<SP>1</SP>is same as defined above) or a compound expressed by R<SP>1</SP>-MgX<SP>5</SP>(R<SP>1</SP>is same as defined above; and X<SP>5</SP>is a halogen atom) with a compound expressed by X<SP>4</SP>-SiX<SP>1</SP>X<SP>2</SP>X<SP>3</SP>(X<SP>1</SP>to X<SP>3</SP>are each same as defined above; and X<SP>4</SP>is hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a lower alkoxy).
