PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete the reproduction of a content by conforming with the time when the moving object arrives at a destination. SOLUTION: The content reproducing apparatus 10 for the moving object includes a navigation section 16 and a media player section 18. The navigation section 16 calculates the expected arrival time T of an automobile. The media player section 18 is provided with a content reproducing section 36 for reproducing the content stored in a recording medium 42 and a reproduction speed judgment section 38 for setting the reproduction speed R of the content in accordance with the expected arrival time T and the standard reproduction time P of the content. The reproduction speed judgment section 38 speeds up the reproduction speed R than the standard speed so that the reproduction finish time becomes within the expected arrival time T when the standard reproduction time p is longer than the expected arrival time T.
