Method for recovery of at least partly deactivated zeolite catalyst, for the conversion of hydrocarbons, comprises: subjecting the zeolite catalyst to mild cleaning at 60-90[deg]C and a pressure of 8-20 bar in hydrogen dissolved in a solvent; (after several mild cleaning steps) subjecting the catalyst to a hard cleaning at 300-450[deg]C and a hydrogen pressure of 14-30 bar; and controlled rehumidifying the zeolite catalyst.
