The unit has a headlight, and a casing that is equipped with headlight fixing units and light emitting plates that are arranged at its front side . A support is fixed at the headlight casing. Supporting forces exerted by a hollow body are partly absorbed by the support and are introduced into the casing and/or directly introduced into a motor vehicle (1) body via the support, when the support is fixed in the motor vehicle. The support with the headlight forms a construction unit. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle with two headlight units.
