PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liner 18 installed in a transfer zone 16 between a combustion section 12 and an air discharge section 14 in a turbine. SOLUTION: The liner comprises an air inlet 26 to lead air into the liner, and an air outlet 28 to discharge air from the liner. Flow of air through the liner operates to cool air flowing through the transfer zone between the combustion and the air discharge sections in the turbine to lower liner metal temperature heated by high temperature gas generated by combustion reaction to metal temperature in compliance with effective part life. The liner has a plurality of axial channels C formed in it for sending air through the liner. Cross section of the channels is uniformly reduced from an air inlet of the channel to its air outlet along the length of the channel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
